The Russian Rose
a novel by Randall Wallace

Nineteen-year-old Russian Tatyana Turgenyeva has just won the 1983 gymnastics World Championship, her most important test before the upcoming Olympic Games. On the other side of the world, Mark Wells, a struggling American musician, finds inspiration after watching her performance on television. He composes a song in tribute to her, and sends it off to her in Moscow. Suddenly, he’s invited to visit Russia where he meets and falls in love with Tatyana. With the Cold War raging and international forces working against them, this unlikely romance becomes an international affair putting their future at risk.
